Description
This is the final project in my architecture class. The most important factors in it are design, tectonics, and site. It's a memorial to be built in the Mall in D.C. (no it won't actually be built their, it's just conceptual, and the Mall is the green open space in front of the Lincoln Memorial, not a shopping mall). The purpose of my memorial is to provide shade and encourage people to enter the beautiful, yet often vacant area of the mall. The scale is quarter of an inch equals a foot so it would be about 40 feet tall.
Materials- chipboard, cardboard, 15-gauge wire, some other gauge thick wire, bronze and silver connectors, translucent vellum, thread (oh god I hate threading), tubing, and (though sparingly used) Flash, "The Instant Drying Glue of Design Majors at UL Lafayette!"
::edit:: Added border and changed to the appropriate category.
